Company History

Directors’ Secretaries was founded in 1967 by Stella Boyd-Carpenter, who still plays an active part in the running of the business. The company was established to provide a professional service to recruit well-qualified PAs, EAs, and top level support staff servicing the needs of high profile Directors and companies and to meet the specific needs of individual clients and candidates.

Our philosophy is to provide a bespoke, personal service and to maintain the highest standards. This has resulted in excellent relationships with our clients, many of whom have remained with us since the company’s inception.

Our candidates are also important to us, many have enjoyed working alongside some of the country’s leading industrialists, bankers and entrepreneurs and some have gone on to hold successful management appointments.
 
Over the years there have been many newcomers into the secretarial consultancy field but Directors’ Secretaries  are proud that we have maintained our niche at the top end of this market.
